Voiding a Credit Card Transaction Before the End of the Day

You can void a credit card transaction before the end of the day process is run.

You can select void from the credit card option menu on a previous authorization or on a payment.

You can always void an authorization but this does affect the credit limit on the guest folio.

If the transaction can be voided, you will receive this message as confirmation:

The credit card summary screen will show it as a refund/not void.

If the void cannot be processed, ie: current transaction was not done today, then you will receive this message.

This means a refund will need to occur and you will have to get with a manager that has refund privileges. If you do not have “refund” on your list of options, you are not authorized to do a refund through Dollars on the Net(dotn).
